In
a sea of the same comes the devastatingly different attack of
Perpetual Groove, a band whose members have been sworn into the
roundtable of constant creation and experimentation. Rising out of
the low country of Savannah, Georgia, this fiery and infectious
quartet is widely considered to be Georgia’s freshest jam.
Searching out new frontiers on traditional music forms, the
Perpetual Groove sound includes a heavy dose of funk, elements of
soaring jazz, a mix of tribal trance-like rhythms, reggae, and
extensive modern looping that creates a hypnotic and addictive
groove. The band has replaced traditional flyering with free live
shows on CD that advertise all upcoming shows. Over 15,000 live
CD’s have been passed out since their inception. While the
marketing is exceptional, it is the music that truly speaks for
itself. PGroove has just finished their new full length record
"LIVELOVEDIE" which was produced by themselves along
with Grammy winner Robert Hannon (Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love
Below). The album was produced with renewable energy through
Perpetual Groove’s partnership with Tree Sound Studios,
Sustainable Waves, and Green Mountain Energy Company and is being
released by the environmentally progressive label, Tree Leaf Music
on March 6th of this year.
