BETH // JAMES

SHOWCASING: OCT 13 – 6PM

Beth // James is an alternative indie folk duo from Austin, Texas made up of singer-songwriters Jordan James Burchill and Mikaela Beth Kahn. Their haunting harmonies, moody guitar, and thoughtful lyrics create a captivating atmosphere. The pair met in 2008 while studying music at the University of North Texas. They quickly realized their musical chemistry and began playing together with various bands all over Texas. They’ve recorded albums, and performed everywhere from the Granada in Dallas to The Triple Door in Seattle, and The Gallery (at The Continental Club) in Austin. But now they’ve come together with their own unique expression of Americana. A blend of modern folk, mindful pop, and lush soundscapes.

The duo was recently selected as one of Kerrville Folk Festival’s 2016 New Folk regional finalists, are finalists in NewSong’s national LEAF 2016 Singer-Songwriter Competition, and won top honors in the 2016 Indie International Songwriting Competition (Folk category).
Each are highly acclaimed songwriters and performers in their own right as well. Jordan won the John Lennon Songwriting Battle of the Bands competition at the age of 18. He’s also toured the country with his own music and is a sought after guitar player for famous R&B artists like Ndambi and Avant. Mikaela has been a finalist in singer-songwriter competitions like the Telluride Troubadour Competition, Kerrville New Folk Competition, and Mountain Stage NewSong Contest (Southwest region). She is an in-demand vocalist and has sung background vocals for R&B diva, Chrisette Michele, and pop star Ben Folds.

Together Jordan & Mikaela are writing new music, playing shows, and recording their debut EP to be released in Fall 2016. When not in Austin, they can be found touring the country, playing everywhere from seasonal festivals to timeless music halls and intimate living rooms.”

RYNO

SHOWCASING: OCT 14 – 12PM

RYNO…an ethereal expression of pop sensibilities, layered with hope and adventure. Conceived as a boyhood nickname, and shaped in the boroughs of NYC, RYNO takes you on a voyage through the vibrational continuum. Hop aboard, and explore a vast ocean of bewilder, where stars dance in harmony and flashing lights shroud our view of the unknown.

Based in New York City, singer-songwriter and producer Ryan Jacob Doyle is best known as lead singer in The Doyle Brothers. Leading up to this engagement, Doyle was front man for the band More Than Me, which in 2010 was named the Ambassador of Rock at the Hard Rock Cafe International Battle of Bands. After winning this worldwide competition, Doyle opened for Sir Paul McCartney at the Main Stage of the Hard Rock Calling Festival. Since then, Doyle’s photographed image has been used in the global advertising campaign for the Hard Rock Rising contest from 2011-2013, and is currently still in use in select markets.

Having composed for and collaborated with major international networks, Doyle penned the winning Rock-Category hit, “Unconditional Truth,” for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation’s SongOfTheYear.com competition in 2008. Currently, Doyle is finishing production on his studio album RYNO: The Pervade, which merges traditional pop songwriting sensibilities with adventurous exploration in different sonic mediums. The first song released was ‘Stars In The Sky’ in February 2016, shortly followed up with a Multilingual Lyric Video which ended up catching viral traction in Europe. The video trended #1 in Denmark and Finland and in the top 5 in Sweden and Norway on the YouTube Trending charts. Doyle tours throughout the US both as a solo act and with The Doyle Brothers.

ART’S FISHING CLUB

SHOWCASING: OCT 14 – 6PM

Arts Fishing Club makes their musical berth in Nashville, TN and travels primarily throughout the midwest and east coast. Their sound blends modern indie-folk (Gregory Alan Isakov, The Head and the Heart, and Jose Gonzales) with classic 90s jam bands (Dave Matthews Band, Phish, OAR) to create a unique take on acoustic rock that will make you dance one moment and search your soul the next. In addition to the above influences, AFC is often compared to Edward Sharpe and Ben Harper. After completing a 1,600 mile 60+ show walking tour from Maine to Nashville as one of The Walking Guys (Google us!), Christopher Kessenich (guitar/vox) has been focusing on Arts Fishing Club. He met Matt Siffert (bass) in spring 2016 at songwriters campfire. The two took to each others’ songwriting and began meeting to workshop songs. Then in late July, Kessenich was introduced to Peter Eddins (Keys) who landed in Nashville after completion of his Movie Scoring and Composition degree from Berkelee School of Music. The three began playing shows together and everything clicked. On AFC’s debut EP:The music drips with genuine reflection on classic stylings, including a bit of blues, pop, and certainly what we might call classic rock. If you’re looking for a nice “kick back and enjoy” album, you can’t go wrong with Arts Fishing Club.” – Greg Jones / Ear To The Ground Music The group has gotten busy testing their sound on the road playing notable venues: The 40 Watt, Smith’s Olde Bar, Philly Folk Fest, and Newport Folk Festival. Arts Fishing Club is excited to be heading into the studio in Fall of 2017 to record their debut album.

Launched in the UK in 2007, Headphone Disco are the inventors and originators of the ‘silent dance party’ format and have been touring their show around the world for the past 10 years. Degy is proud to exclusively rep Headphone Disco in the US and Canada to colleges, festivals, corporate events, marketing campaigns and even house parties!

Having started in the college market winning multiple programming awards, we’ve expanded, now offering Headphone Disco in  exciting new markets such as: creative marketing activations worldwide, San Diego Comic Con, Vancouver Pride Week and major music festivals like: Firefly Festival, North Coast Music Fest, Music Fest NW, Insomniac’s ‘Escape From Wonderland’, World Electronic Music Festival and the floating cruise ship fests: Rombello, 311 Cruise, The Rock Boat, to name a few.

So how does it work?

  1. We arrive at a venue with our 2 resident DJs and our 2 channel wireless headphones.
  2. Our DJs spin 2 different styles of music side by side over 2 different wireless channels.
  3. Guests take a pair of our headphones, select which DJ they want to listen to using the switch on their headphones then get busy on the dance floor.

*We now offer 3 channel headsets as well as “Dry-Hire” packages where we can drop ship you everything you need to DJ your own party or event!

Imagine a dance floor where one half of the crowd are singing along to a Top 40 jam while the other half are raving to Skrillex! To a soundtrack that only they can hear! Bizarre, mind-blowing but most of all a huge amount of fun.
