Between the nonstop meetings and all of the team building and fun, it has been hard to find the time to write today, but of course I had to find some time.
The team got an early start tidying up our CAMP (campus activities market place) booth for the grand opening to students from 250+ colleges. They rushed in like a hurricane descending on each and every booth. Picking up various fun giveaways from other booths that included stuff-a-bears, soaking up oxygen tanks, and getting their faces painted – they came to our Degy booth where the nonstop meetings began while picking our special swag that they received after they downloaded the new Degy App.
It has been so nice to reunite with student professionals that have been friends for years and meet new people that have only heard about who we are and what we do. After 2 hours of super informational chats up in CAMP, it was a sprint down the stairs to our other Annex Booth which has been popping all weekend. Our team set up nearly 30 meetings just today alone! We also simultaneously had conversations to advance details on upcoming spring shows, to listen to what works on other campuses, and to dive into how we can be a good partner agent.
Two of our amazing musical acts on our roster got the chance to perform 10-minute showcases on stage in the coveted spots given to various artists selected for the 4-day event. Alex Ahn, our incredible solo violinist, and Nelly’s Echo, a soulful, R&B pop singer-songwriter took the stage in the afternoon showcase. They killed it! We received so many booking requests immediately after their showcases! They were even able to inquire about the artists straight through our app! It’s so exciting to be able to deliver instant successes after such great performers do their thing on stage. We owe it all to our buyers who are never shy to act and do business with us.
Now it’s time for a dinner with one of our partner agencies and still need to clean up that inbox before bed.
I’m sure we will have much more exciting news to share with you tomorrow as we dive into Day 3 of the convention.
