Beth // James is a married indie-folk duo from Austin, Texas made up of award winning singer-songwriters, Mikaela Beth Burchill and Jordan James Burchill.

Picking up where the Civil Wars left off, their music is “a shimmering mix of modern folk, mindful pop, and Americana charm,” according to Paste Magazine and they were dubbed “Masters of indie folk” by Austin’s NPR station, KUTX. In 2018, iconic director, Spike Lee discovered their music on Instagram and decided to use one of their original songs in a movie he was making. You can hear their song, “Lion Eyes” in Lee’s Academy Award-winning feature film, ‘BlacKkKlansman’.

Creating their own unique sound, Beth // James navigates effortlessly among American music traditions, rooted in storytelling, but with added indie pop/rock elements, intricate guitar work and arresting harmony.
