TOKiMONSTA is a Korean-American producer, songwriter, and DJ who emerged from the Los Angeles beat scene at the end of the 2000s, then gradually expanded her sound over the following decades, spanning electro-pop, house, and alternative R&B. Her early releases, such as 2010 full-length debut Midnight Menu, consisted of vibrant hip-hop instrumentals, filled with off-kilter beats and neon synths threaded with occasional guitars and other instruments. She subsequently began working with singers and rappers more frequently, forming the duo Analogue Monsta with producer/vocalist Suzi Analogue and finding close collaborators in Gavin Turek, MNDR, and Anderson .Paak.
