Q: What type of devices are permitted to access Degy World?

A: Users wishing to access Degy World must have a PC or Mac computer. At this time, Chromebooks and mobile devices (Tablets, Phones, etc.) are not supported and will not work with this software. CLICK HERE to access the Degy World hardware and software requirements.

 

Q: Security Settings Preventing the Degy World Download/Installation from launching? 

A: Depending on your computer type, please CLICK HERE and follow the directions included on the page. 

 

Q: Getting a notification that I need administrator privileges to install the application?

A: Please contact your supervisor/IT Administrator and ask for assistance installing the application. You do not need an account to download the software. You will need an account to access the software which will arrive at the pre-determined time based on the confirmation email sent for the event. 

 

 

Q: I can’t login because I don’t have an account / when will I be able to create my account?  

A: Look out for an account creation email from dwsupport@degyworld.com in your inbox/junk/spam/promotions folder about 60-90 mins prior to your scheduled event with the words ‘Account Creation’ in the subject line! Read the instructions in that email to create your account to log in to Degy World!  

 

Q: My computer is currently/typically runs slow! What should I do? How can I optimize my Degy World experience for my computer?  

A: If you’re experiencing trouble with Degy World running slowly, please use this guide to assist in optimizing your experience.  

 

Q: What should I do if I see an Update System error when trying to launch Degy World?

A: Right/two finger click the shortcut on your desktop or in your dock/toolbar and remove the shortcut. Then, go to your applications/programs folder and double click the Degy World Icon to launch the application from there.  

 

Q: What should I do if I see an account suspended error? 

A: Degy World is a private campus which means users are suspended after each event they are registered for is concluded. Nothing is wrong with your account. You won’t be able to log into your account until it is time for your next event in Degy World.   

 

Q: My username or password is incorrect, what do I do?

A: E-mail dwsupport@degyworld.com from the e-mail address associated with the account you created and provide the name of the event that you are looking to attend so that we can help you reset your password. If you enter your password incorrectly too many times, your account will be locked for 15 minutes. Once the 15 min lock out begins, there is no bypass or override that we can do to assist you so anticipate waiting the full 15 mins.

 

Q: What should I do if I get a ‘Patch Failed’ error when trying to install?

A: Please complete the below steps in this order:

  1. Make sure your computer is plugged in and you are as close to your wifi router as you are able. We encourage a hard line ethernet connection to your computer but it isn’t a requirement.
  2. Ensure that there is at least 10GB of storage space available on your computer for the installation. If you do not have at least 10GB of storage space available, the application will not be able to download so we encourage you to clean your computer of any software programs you are no longer using.
  3. Close all applications and restart your computer.
  • Once your computer reboots, turn off your antivirus software (i.e. Windows Defender, AVAST, Norton, and/or other third party applications).
  • Turn off any additional firewalls and disconnect from any VPN (Virtual Private Networks).
  • Launch Degy World and make sure it is the only program running when trying to install the application.

If you are still experiencing trouble, here are the instructions for a clean install that you should follow:

Q: What should I do if my download/installation is taking a long time?

A: Please allow at least 15 minutes for the installation to complete. Depending on your internet speeds, the installation may take longer (up to 45-50 mins). If you do not notice any progress after 10 minutes, please ensure that you are close to your wifi router. You may wish to complete a clean install following these instructions if it freezes during the installation process and takes longer than 15-20min.

Q: What should I do if Degy World looks like its re-installing after I’ve already installed it? Why is Degy World patching?

A: Degy World will automatically check for updates and apply them upon each login. If you experience longer loading times after the application has been installed, it is likely that you are experiencing an application patch update. This requires no action from you. If progress stops for 5 minutes or more, force quit and relaunch the application.
