The brothers Ty and Trey, that make up The Icarus Account, are living their dream as professional musicians writing songs that strike an emotional chord with their listeners. As The Icarus Account, they’ve learned a lot about writing and performing, but ultimately the goal has never changed. “We try to write songs that are honest and relatable,” Trey shares. “One of the most beautiful things about writing songs is that it proves how connected all of us really are. We get messages all the time where people tell us that our songs ‘say everything they are feeling but didn’t know how to express.’ To me it’s really humbling because I’ve never met that person before and yet they are feeling the same feelings that we had when we wrote the song.” The duo continues to pursue this passion of moving an audience. In fact, it is writing with that same purpose and passion that makes each of their albums feel new and unique.

The Icarus Account will be in the Degy Booth in the marketplace afterward their showcase. So be sure to come say hi and get some more info on pricing, routing, and avails and meet the guys!

SHOWCASING: OCT 6 – 10:50PM (Special Events Showcase)

Launched in the UK in 2007, Headphone Disco are the inventors and originators of the ‘silent dance party’ format and have been touring their show around the world for the past 10 years. Degy is proud to exclusively rep Headphone Disco in the US and Canada to colleges, festivals, corporate events, marketing campaigns and even house parties!

Having started in the college market winning multiple programming awards, we’ve expanded, now offering Headphone Disco in  exciting new markets such as: creative marketing activations worldwide, San Diego Comic Con, Vancouver Pride Week and major music festivals like: Firefly Festival, North Coast Music Fest, Music Fest NW, Insomniac’s ‘Escape From Wonderland’, World Electronic Music Festival and the floating cruise ship fests: Rombello, 311 Cruise, The Rock Boat, to name a few.

So how does it work?

  1. We arrive at a venue with our 2 resident DJs and our 2 channel wireless headphones.
  2. Our DJs spin 2 different styles of music side by side over 2 different wireless channels.
  3. Guests take a pair of our headphones, select which DJ they want to listen to using the switch on their headphones then get busy on the dance floor.

*We now offer 3 channel headsets as well as “Dry-Hire” packages where we can drop ship you everything you need to DJ your own party or event!

Imagine a dance floor where one half of the crowd are singing along to a Top 40 jam while the other half are raving to Skrillex! To a soundtrack that only they can hear! Bizarre, mind-blowing but most of all a huge amount of fun.

“Headphone disco is always an amazing event for students all across campus. You can’t go wrong with the incredible staff who are there to help put on a flawless event! Its’s definitely something we look forward to every year. “

Jared Mahone is not your typical singer-songwriter with an acoustic guitar. One grin and quick witty remark from Jared make him an easy guy to like. His soulful, funky tunes filled with genuinely thoughtful lyrics make him easy to remember. His original style, soulful vocals and unbelievable beatbox showcase make him impossible to forget. As one of the most booked performers in the college market, Jared completed 500+ shows across the country including a campus tour with 90 concerts in less than 120 days. His “Mixtape Project” allowed fans to hear a new song from him every week in 2010 and now the favorite songs from the project make up his new full-length album. The record was created by an all-star team including producer Jerry DePizzo of O.A.R., Grammy award winning mix engineer Mike Landolt (Maroon 5), and Brian Lucey (The Shins, The Black Keys).

Jared will be hanging in the Degy Booth this weekend and we will make sure to let everyone know if and when he movess up from an Alternate into a showcase spot.

Nelly’s Echo also features drummer Thomas Morris, bassist Jordan Parks, and keyboardist Kameron Ralls. The adult alternative pop/rock band, inspired by soul music and contemporary singer/songwriters such as Jason Mraz, hails from Baltimore, Maryland, though Emokpae is a native of Lagos, Nigeria. The band has self-released four successful albums (Live Love ‘N Laugh (2007), Secrets to a Happy Life (2009), Journey (2013), and Voices (2015) in addition to having their version of the Bill Withers Classic, “Ain’t No Sunshine” reach #7 on the iTunes R&B charts while also having their original song, “Voices of the People” named a World Cup 2014 Super Song Top 20 semi-finalist.

Nelly’s Echo has taken great pride in sharing the stage with the likes of Trombone Shorty, Travis McCoy, Sean Kingston, & Boyz II Men.

Relying on lessons learned from his childhood in Africa and his everyday experiences, Nelly’s Echo storytelling style has led to some comparing their musicality & storytelling to that of Jason Mraz and John Mayer. In the end, the goal of Nelly’s Echo is to use music to reach the four corners of the earth, while sharing the message of positivity, life, hope, and love to everyone that it comes in contact.

“I had so much fun listening to you right off the bat…I find you so interesting and compelling. I would love to be able to collaborate Ideas. It seems like with you the sky is the limit…I want to go to a concert; I want to see the whole show.”
