A Look Inside Degy’s Remote Internship Program: Empowering the Next Generation of Entertainment Leaders

At Degy Entertainment, we don’t just book and execute some of the world’s largest events—we also develop its talent. Our remote internship program is one of the most immersive and career-focused experiences in the live entertainment industry. As we welcome over 40 new interns into our summer 2025 cohort—our largest ever—we celebrate a program that continues to shape the future of music industry internships and entertainment careers.

Built on Experience, Education & Mentorship

Founded in 2016 by Tiara Constantino, now Degy’s Director of Roster Operations, the virtual internship program was created with three core pillars: Experience. Education. Mentorship.

From the beginning, this vision has delivered real-world immersion into the entertainment business. Now under the leadership of Internship Coordinator Felix Agosto, interns are placed across the dynamic, hands-on departments based on assessed skill sets and interests.

We also bring in industry professionals from major agencies, legal firms, public relations agencies, performing rights organizations, and entertainment brands to educate interns about real-world career paths, providing mentorship and networking beyond the classroom. These insights are especially valuable for those pursuing talent agency internships or careers in the live entertainment field.

Resilience & Reinvention: How Degy’s Internship Survived—and Thrived—During the Pandemic

While many entertainment companies struggled to adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic, Degy was already ahead of the curve. As a fully remote company for years prior, we didn’t need to start from scratch—we simply pivoted. In 2020, we launched Degy World, an innovative metaverse platform designed as a business workplace.  Our team repositioned the software and bent it around to support virtual concerts, meetings, festivals, conferences, and large-scale entertainment experiences. Our interns became known as VEPs (Virtual Event Persons), supporting this groundbreaking shift.

At a time when many companies were just learning how to host a Zoom call, Degy’s internship program was already thriving in a digital-first, metaverse-style setting. This innovation ensured we continued to offer a learning-based, skills-focused remote internship—making Degy one of the few entertainment companies to maintain consistent educational programming during the pandemic. It was not just a pivot—it was a proof of concept for how virtual entertainment internships in the music industry could thrive.

By the Numbers: A Program That Delivers

Degy’s internship program has become a national model for remote talent development.  The numbers speak for themselves:

● 📈 540+ interns since 2016

● 🔥 479 interns since 2020, showing rapid growth

● 🎓 86 interns in 2024 alone

● 🌟 42 interns joining for Summer 2025—our largest cohort ever

● 👥 7 interns hired into full-time roles at the company

Our Degy internship alumni have a networking group to support each other in their shared role at the company.  Many of them use this space to post jobs at the companies they’ve landed at.  In recent years, our alumni secured roles at other industry powerhouses such as:

What Degy Interns Do

Interns are placed on one of three core teams, depending on skills and interests:

Booking & Sales Team – Learn talent booking, lead generation, customer service, and sales support alongside our agents.

Marketing & Creative Team – Engage in content creation, graphic design, social strategy, SEO, and digital branding across our platforms.

Special Projects Team – Support business development, event logistics, proposal writing, and internal operations.

These roles are hands-on, deadline-driven, and career-launching.

Who Should Apply & What We Expect

The program is designed for college students, but we also encourage recent graduates and career-transitioning professionals to apply. Degy is a credit-seeking approved program, and we’re happy to coordinate with schools to support college credit, if set up before onboarding.

Ideal candidates:

● Passionate about music, live events, or entertainment business

● Self-motivated and equipped with a reliable computer and internet

● Organized, dependable, and deadline-focused

● Strong in communication, customer service, and teamwork

● Comfortable working remotely and adapting to fast-paced challenges
