2025 Fall College Highlights: Concerts, Dance Parties, and Student Favorites

This December, we are excited to highlight some of the events that our clients held this fall! From major concerts and paint raves to storytelling hours and more, this fall has been filled with great college events across the country. Keep reading for some of our favorites from this fall!

Winthrop University Headphone Disco: A High-Energy Campus Dance Party

Our first highlight is Winthrop University’s Headphone Disco dance party in November. With 2 live DJs spinning on separate channels and close to 300 participants, the energy was high and the dance floor was “alive from start to finish”.

ERAU Daytona Beach PaintU: Orientation Week Paint Party & Rave Tradition

Taking it back to orientation, ERAU Daytona Beach celebrated back to school with their annual PaintU dance party. This rave is the ultimate party for letting loose at the start of the semester. Dancing to great music, getting covered in colorful paint, and making memories that will last is what PaintU is all about, and ERAU has done a fantastic job making this one a staple for students to get hype about each year.

Trinity University Welcome Week Concert: Yung Gravy Brings the Buzz

Heading down to Texas, Trinity University in San Antonio hosted Yung Gravy for a Welcome Week concert that had the whole campus buzzing. While Trinity usually hosts their major concert in the Spring, this year they took a chance and moved it to the fall, which more than tripled their attendance compared to their last concert! This is a great example of how sometimes, just changing the timing of a particular event can have a great impact on the student’s excitement and engagement for the event.

Texas State University Campus Talent Show: America’s Top Star Takes It Up a Notch

In October, Texas State University brought in America’s Top Star to turn their annual campus talent show up a notch. This event allows schools to turn their existing talent show into an experience like Americas Got Talent, American Idol, and more! The team brings an energetic and entertaining host, as well as a film crew to get footage of the entire show! Not only did they pack the theater for the show, but they even had an overflow room with a livestream of the event so that more people could enjoy it!

Kutztown University, The Campfireball: Storytelling, S’mores, and Student Connection

Up in the Mid Atlantic – Kutztown University had 600+ students show up for The Campfireball, one of Degy’s newer programs. Cory’s reverse storytelling process had the students sharing pieces of their lives with each other one segment at a time and building a community that will last those students through their college career.  So many laughs were had and they even added s’mores to the party to really make it feel like an outdoor vibe. Kudos to the McFarland Student Union and Student Involvement team for creating that space for students to come together!

Vermont State–Lyndon Eat & Greet: Cookie Decorating with Plenty O’Cookies

Further to the North, our friends in Vermont at Vermont State – Lyndon brought cookie decorating to another level with Plenty O’Cookies, a Cookie Decorating Drag Queen,  Plenty O’Cookies has classes they can lead with cookie kits (custom shapes too!), or what VT State Lyndon did was the ever popular Eat and Greet! So many people get to make their own cookie, the board can pick the Shape/design and it’s a great way to destress and create events that get people having the organic connection experience. The students and staff at Lyndon put on an amazing event!

Sold-Out Spotlight: Big-Name Comedy & Concert Headliners Across Campus

On the larger event side there was University of Maryland and SEE, their student programming group, selling out Marcello Hernandez for their Homecoming Comedy show and Miami University – Ohio with a huge Family Weekend turnout for Seth Meyers as well as Suffolk University seeing their largest turnout for a concert in years for A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. Each of these schools excelled in their marketing and artist selection, as well as planning in advance to get the performers their audiences would engage with. What a weekend that was – yes they were all the same weekend!
