The Toledo Mud Hens treated ballgame attendees to a post-game concert on August 2nd with rising country star Graham Barham. The Nashville-based artist took the stage at Hensville Park, the Mud Hens’ event space across the street from Fifth Third Field in Toledo, OH. The post-game show with Barham took place as part of the city-wide Toledo Jeep Fest and was one of many shows the Mud Hens hosted throughout the season as part of their Hensville Live! concert series, all of which are free to ballgame attendees, with VIP upgrades available.
On September 5, 2025, the Hartford Yard Goats celebrated another great season with legendary hip-hop group, The Sugarhill Gang, taking the field for a post-game concert. As part of the Yard Goats’ annual Fan Appreciation game, attendees were invited to move down to the seats along the first baseline after the game concluded (with a YG victory, I might add) to enjoy the free show. With the relatively simple setup of a DJ spinning tracks behind the artists, bringing classic hip-hop acts to Dunkin’ Park has become an annual tradition for the team that is both low lift and high impact for their community.
Up-and-coming artists and throwback legacy acts are two great options for bringing music to your post-game, but they are only two of many options. Themed ballgames are staples throughout the season, so bringing in acts that amplify the theme can be incredibly effective. Bring in a 90s cover band to bring your attendees back in time for a Neon 90s Nights or add a Margaritaville night to the schedule with a Jimmy's Buffet tribute band. Partnering with local organizations for events like Faith and Family nights with rising faith-based musicians is another terrific opportunity to connect with the community.
Post-game concerts also leave ample room for flexibility in their setup. This is not a full-scale concert, so attendees, and often the artists, are not expecting you to pull out all the stops for production. A drum riser stage and basic sound and lighting system go a long way for added-value performances like this. Depending on your ballpark and the artist you are bringing in, shows like these can be set up in a myriad of places, ranging from right down on the field, up on the concourse, out in the parking lot, or in an adjacent event space.
Degy Entertainment will help you assess what will be feasible in your stadium. We support you through every step of the process, including working with you to give the artist's team a full scope of what the setup will look like during the offer phase, so there are no surprises during the advance process or day of the show.
Weekly shows may not be realistic for most teams, but scheduling even a handful of intentionally themed concerts can:
● Boost ticket sales
● Reward season ticket holders
● Strengthen community ties
● Create lasting memories for fans
Every ballpark looks different, but the effect is the same: build community beyond the ballgame.
